UAE Eid Al Adha Holiday Boosts Economy Amid Rising Temperatures, Humidity

by admin477351

As the Eid Al Adha holiday approaches, residents of the United Arab Emirates can expect a rise in temperatures accompanied by humid nights, according to the National Center of Meteorology. Forecasts indicate that the weather will be generally fair to partly cloudy throughout the week, with temperatures increasing as the region transitions into its summer season.

A brief respite in the form of a slight temperature drop is anticipated on Sunday, which may bring with it fog or mist in some western and coastal areas during the nighttime and early morning hours. However, the heat is expected to intensify again starting Monday, aligning with the commencement of the government employees’ Eid holiday.

During this period, temperatures are predicted to soar to approximately 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. Light to moderate winds are expected, with occasional gusts reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. Meanwhile, humidity levels are likely to rise during the nights and early mornings, particularly in coastal regions, though the sea is expected to remain calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

The rising temperatures mark a shift into the UAE’s summer season following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, several areas have already experienced temperatures exceeding 40°C, signaling the onset of the hotter months. This climatic transition is in line with the astronomical start of summer in the northern hemisphere, which officially begins on June 21.
