The United Arab Emirates has made a significant contribution to humanitarian efforts in Gaza by delivering 980 tonnes of aid through a convoy of 62 trucks. This aid includes essential food, medical supplies, and materials for shelter, aimed at providing relief to civilians impacted by the ongoing conflict in the region.
Prepared at the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Al Arish, Egypt, the supplies arrived as part of the UAE’s Operation Gallant Knight 3. Launched in October 2023, this operation has seen the UAE extend its support through various means, including land, air, and sea routes. In addition to the delivery of supplies, the operation has established medical facilities and facilitated the evacuation of thousands of injured and critically ill individuals for treatment.
The latest shipment underscores the UAE’s continuous commitment to addressing the urgent humanitarian needs in Gaza. By coordinating such efforts, the UAE aims to mitigate the suffering of those caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict, ensuring that critical resources reach those in desperate need.
Operation Gallant Knight 3 represents a broader initiative by the UAE to provide sustained humanitarian assistance amidst the challenges faced by the people of Gaza. The operation’s multifaceted approach highlights the country’s dedication to alleviating human suffering and supporting international humanitarian efforts in conflict zones.
