In light of mounting uncertainties in global energy markets, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed underscored the critical role of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC). During a recent session of ADNOC’s Executive Committee of the Board of Directors, Sheikh Khaled assessed the company’s operational and financial performance. The meeting, held at ADNOC’s headquarters, also addressed strategies to ensure a steady supply of energy, particularly amidst developments that have impacted maritime navigation in the area.
Sheikh Khaled emphasized the need for ADNOC to bolster its status as an integrated energy entity by enhancing its production, trading, and logistics connections. Highlighting the significance of operational agility and comprehensive capabilities, he noted these as essential to fulfilling customer requirements. The meeting also covered ADNOC’s advancements in its global liquefied natural gas (LNG) marketing and trading platform, which was introduced in July. This initiative targets an increase to 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG by 2030, thereby broadening supply choices for ADNOC’s clientele and supporting its expanding gas resources.
Prior to the committee meeting, Sheikh Khaled took the opportunity to visit ADNOC’s emergency control centre. Here, he engaged with employees and teams tasked with ensuring business continuity and maintaining safe and efficient operations during periods of disruption. This visit highlighted the company’s commitment to operational resilience and safeguarding its energy supply chain.
The discussions were aimed at fortifying ADNOC’s capability to navigate evolving global energy conditions, ensuring that the company continues to deliver secure and reliable supplies to its customers. The focus remained on adapting to the shifting dynamics of the energy landscape while maintaining ADNOC’s reputation as a dependable energy provider.
