On World Teachers’ Day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored educators across the nation for their significant contributions to education and the development of future generations. In a personal tribute, Sheikh Mohamed shared a nostalgic photograph of himself as a 10-year-old alongside a thank-you note he wrote to his teacher, Ahmad Ibrahim Mandi, in 1971. He emphasized the lasting influence educators have and the pivotal role they play in shaping society’s future.
Echoing this sentiment, UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, highlighted teachers’ essential role in cultivating the nation’s human capital and steering future generations. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan also underscored the critical importance of education in the country’s development, noting how teachers help young individuals build knowledge, confidence, and ambition.
Further highlighting the national appreciation for educators, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan acknowledged the key role teachers have played in the UAE’s progress by promoting knowledge and preparing future generations for the challenges ahead.
Additionally, Education Minister Sarah Al Amiri stressed the central role of teachers in achieving the UAE’s long-term educational and developmental objectives.
